Help! I Can't Stop Eating
A self-guided workbook to aid in your eating disorder recovery.
I struggled with binge eating and bulimia for many years. Finally, I reached out for help and attended an eating disorder program in San Diego, California. I took 8 weeks off of work, and thankfully my insurance was able to cover the cost of the program. However, I know not everyone has this luxury. This self-guided workbook consists of many tools and skills that have helped me during my recovery thus far. I go over each tool explaining how and why it has helped me throughout my journey. My goal in creating this workbook is to provide a more affordable and reasonable path to recovery for those who may not have the time or resources to attend an eating disorder program.

In this book, I go over everything that I had to do with food in order to stop binge eating and finally lose weight. There are little tips and tricks that I mention as well, that when combined, actually begin to make a big difference. I also lay out everything I know about nutrition. Maybe you struggle with eating and your goal is to lose weight or gain muscle. Maybe it is to maintain your weight while eating food without fear. Whatever your end goal is, I have laid out steps that cater towards your needs and desires.

A snippet from the book:
In the eating disorder outpatient program I participated in I gained 20 lbs over the 8 weeks I was there. I did not feel better about myself after this. I didn’t just “accept my body as it was” as they told me I should. I had not recovered from my eating disorder, and the way they were telling me to eat was just making me gain weight, especially because it hadn’t helped with the bingeing. To be a nutritionist who specializes in eating disorders takes YEARS. And everyone I asked said that I needed to stop focusing on the weight I was gaining and instead focus on recovery. But each time I noticed my clothes getting tighter and my body getting bigger, the more defeated I felt. When I would ask for help the most anyone could tell me was “go out and get ice cream every once and a while” and “each meal you should have a starch, protein, fat, fruit/vegetable and dairy and you should eat two snacks during the day”. This wasn’t helping my binge habits, and was making me gain weight. I needed a little more assistance than that. So I want to share with you all what I did to both lose weight and recover. In fact, contrary to what I was being told, when I finally began to lose weight it was only MORE motivation to recover.
