I will share my personal journey with you all.
When I was 11, I was a skinny kid, and a fast cross country runner. As I aged and hit puberty, I obviously started putting on weight. I didn't want to put on the weight because it was making me a slower runner, so I decided that I was going to try and eat as little amount of food as possible. I would go to school, without food, and barely make it through the day. FINALLY I would come home, and with no one around... I would annihilate anything in my path. This cycle continued for years, even throughout high school. I wasn't overweight yet but was definitely on my way there. On top of that, I had created a terrible food habit and didn't know how to eat like a "normal person". It was extremely uncomfortable eating around people, and…
